Amy Ackerman, a Kingston, NY–based artist, discovered her love for art early through her father’s influence and has since developed a deeply personal style across multiple mediums, with a focus on watercolor and acrylic. Inspired by motherhood, she launched “A Little Deer Co,” creating baby crinkle toys featuring her hand-painted artwork, which led her to fabric and wood painting. Her work—ranging from gentle to dark, often rooted in nature—reflects heartfelt emotions drawn from her past, present, and surroundings, offering honest, relatable expressions while remaining grounded in her own love for the creative process.
